Pittsburgh Penguins beat Maple Leafs 4-1
The Penguins defeated Toronto, 4-1, at the Air Canada Centre tonight.
The victory was their second in three games — and in eight games, as well, since they’re not far removed from a five-game losing streak — and raised their record to 28-17-1.
It also gave them a good start to the five-game road trip that continues Monday at Minnesota.
The Penguins got defenseman Sergei Gonchar and winger Ruslan Fedotenko back from injuries, but played most of the game without defenseman Brooks Orpik. He suffered an unspecified injury during the first period after logging just two minutes, 57 seconds of ice time on three shifts.
