You have to love Sidney Crosby and his completely transparent devotion to his myriad superstitions.
The Pens are staying at their third hotel of these Cup finals, having failed to win a game while staying at the previous two.
Crosby joked that he does get consulted on where the team stays.
“Yeah, they run it by me and a couple of guys,” Crosby said after today’s morning skate. “Not just me, but, you know, at this point, I don’t think we have too many options, so I don’t think this one needed to be run by anyone. We knew it was probably a good time to switch it up, so we decided to.”

A man of few comments throughout the Stanley Cup Final, Penguins center Evgeni Malkin acknowledged Thursday that one picture would be worth a thousand words.
“I think about it a lot, especially these last (two) weeks,” he said, smiling before finishing the sentence. “It’s my dream. Me and Sid, just like that.”
Thatis a photo Malkin has seen in several spots at Mellon Arena during his three years in Pittsburgh. The shot is of former Penguins stars Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr smiling as they grip the Stanley Cup from opposite sides. It was taken on June 1, 1992, from a champagne-soaked visiting dressing room at Chicago Stadium.
The Penguins have not won the Cup since.

Pittsburgh Penguins coach Dan Bylsma isn’t so sure he’s willing to reveal the one Sidney Crosby moment that stands out for him during these Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Who could blame him? There’s still one more game to be played in this best-of-7 Stanley Cup Final against the Detroit Red Wings. It will be the most important game in the career of his 21-year-old star center and team captain.
“I’m not ready to tell you what my favorite is,” Bylsma said of Crosby’s best moments this spring. “But there have been a couple.”
